If you walk to the end of North Bondi, go down the stairs behind the baby pool and walk out to the end of the rocks, just past the boat shed, you’re at flat rock. Here you’ll find those who want a little distance from the beach, cops, life guards or parents. It depends on who you’re running from really. It feels local and it feels reckless and it feels free. Dive into the ocean behind the breakers and try not to shred yourself on the rocks as you get back out.
